Companion

Everyone needs someone to talk to, laugh with, and enjoy activities that make life more fun. We at Ropes 2 Hopes provide caregivers that enjoy providing these things for your loved one and making new friends in the process. Our non-medical companion services offer supervision and security along with the everyday assistance your loved one needs to stay safe and receive the social and mental stimulation necessary for a long happy life.

Families choose companions for multiple reasons. Many clients prefer their own space at home instead of going to assisted living. As long as they have no acute care or medical needs, a companion manages to eradicate some of the risks associated with living alone. Not only will our men and women provide security to the home and client, they also provide something to look forward to and enjoy.

Companion Services Ropes 2 Hopes offers:

  • Social events and friend visits
  • Shopping and errands
  • Personal correspondence and memoirs
  • Medication prompts and reminders
  • Scrapbooking
  • Gardening
  • Home projects
  • Taking walks
  • Bingo
  • Arts and Craft
  • Watch movies

Companions can come every day or multiple times a week on a regular schedule or can be used for respite care if family usually cares for their loved one.

The tasks performed by non-medical companions are varied. One of the most important jobs they do is to make sure the property is secure and that the client who lives there does not need medical help or additional care options. As long as everything is safe, the other important job can take place.
